Let me get this straight. A government mandate that you have to have health insurance or you will be fined something like $1200?
1) We provide 30 million more customers to the rapacious profiteering. Compulsory monthly payments for similar bad coverage (to afford it, you have to have outrageously high deductibles).
2) The Wellpoints and Blue Shield’s get, guaranteed by congressional order, a fixed number of customers. They can carry on business as usual, and only have to allow a few pre-existing conditions and possibly be forced to eliminate the lifetime caps.
3) The pharma deal struck by the White House forced congress to not approve importation cheaper identical drugs from Canada. So, they get to participate in this additional 10% of the US population into the prescription drug market.
4) The older you are, the more you will pay. So, don’t get old. Die early. That way there is no drag on the profit of the drug and insurance companies.
Sounds like a great compromise plan, eh? Supurb for the 17% of Americans that are un or under employed. (Actually, the figure, if you include those that aren’t looking, or are uncounted, maybe close to one in five.)
Try telling the 35 million people that have “food issues” (monthly struggles with their budget over providing food for their family) that they now have to buy health insurance. Hey, while the lined pockets on K Street are at Ruth’s Chris hammering it out, why not mandate everyone have a balanced three meals a day. Heck, let’s mandate every family in America to buy a new car every 5 years! See, that’ll fix it, and everyone will be happy.
This is just fucking stupid. As Matt Taibbi and Robert Kuttner pointed out, this is an albatross that the Democrats will have to live with for a generation. And the Republicans will just snicker when the votes dry up for the party of yes. Yes, we can force people to buy shit they can’t afford. Yes, we can pretend it is reform. Yes, we can tell people it is good for them and they did us a solid.
No. More of the same crap. The rich get richer, and the only thing that is reformed is the balance sheet. Add more pages! Promise of profit long term is a great deal to cut to allow asthmatic Janice or crippled Timmy to pay you for an $180 inhaler (only $150 with insurance!!!), or $210 crutches ($20 at Salvation Army or let the doctor “prescribe” them for you).
God Bless us everyone. Enjoy your change!
This following video has a lot of fucks in it. This guy is angry (He forgot his Paroxetine -um, $169):
OK, well, nevermind. But, do you think this mascot below will get a mandatory policy? -
UPDATE: Someone tell me why the republicans are against this senate bill. It lines pockets on both sides, those that vote for it. It is billions more for big insure and big pharma, so wouldn’t all of the whores want a piece / kickback? How does it hurt the GOP to let this go through?

In general and specific, I try to look at every issue from all angles, and try to listen to every opinion whether it be one derived from a bribe, a “religious” view, or due diligence and complete study of all facts available.
That being said, every now and then, I get that “ever-gnawing inner doubt” as to whether I am right (Saul Alinsky). To avoid becoming “doctrinaire, humorless and intellectually constipated,” I watch Glenn Beck. I listen to Al Gore. I read Ann Coulter. I endure Nancy Pelosi. Rush. Ed Schultz. Olbermann. Ingraham. Then, something comes along on the internets that actually gives you perspective you didn’t have, and opens your brain up to ideas that you hadn’t thought about.
Lord Christopher Monckton aside, for now - The BBC documentary “The Great Global Warming Swindle” is something everyone should see. Now, don’t start the bullet / talking points about ignoring the science, and “denier” bullshit. Seriously. Watch it:
Watch all of it. All 90 minutes or so. It is worth it. Then, weigh it with your other indoctrined thoughts about earth warming, carbon emissions, radiation from the earth, polar bears drowning, sea levels rising several feet in the next hundred years, and, the so far unassailable calculation that humans contribute no more than 4% of the carbon that is in the atmosphere.
Yes, we need to cut fossil fuels altogether. And soon. Yes, oil sands destroy the water, air and earth. Yes, burning oil and gas is destructive and eventually, when we squeeze the last drops of it from the sponge we call the earth, there will be none to damage the environment any more. Yes, coal is dirty and should be replaced with renewable alternative sources of energy.
But, it is plain simple hubris to think that we are changing the world’s temperature so much that we can actually stop or reverse it. Seriously. If we stopped all usage of fossil fuel carbon emitting crap (and ask any climate change / global warming advocate,) it would be 20 years before we could even reduce the earth’s temperature 1 degree celcius. Yes. That’s right.
This is the first time, as hard as it is to semi-agree with Palin, Inhofe, Beck, Hannity et al, that I think that the lockstep liberals are totally and incoherently full of the Kool-Aid. If they would focus on caps and lay off the trades, there can be real emissions control through the government’s role (disputed) of regulation and taxation. Fucking tax the windfall. There, done.
Maybe the Greenland and Antarctican ice will melt and raise the levels of the oceans. Maybe things will get 5-10 degrees fahrenheit warmer. But, we can’t stop it. The green revolution seems to make us all feel good. Use less toilet paper. Buy a hybrid. Take shorter showers. Go ahead. Make yourself feel real good. It does nothing.
And, here’s the real issue. The biggest carbon footprint is people. The the more we make, the more abuse there is. So, stop fucking. All of you. Stop it. Or, we cap the human being emission and trade any child more than 2 per family to families that can’t or don’t have 2.
Tell me where my logic is wrong. How can you try and cap CO2 while still making more people faster than they are dying? It just does not make sense. Any more than telling Africa they can’t burn coal to advance themselves into the second world. How dare we.
In the end, sure, I could be wrong. But, the threat that if we don’t do something now for our children about climate change we will regret it, is like believing in God because you don’t want to be wrong and still want to go to heaven. That is just plain silly.
Facts are facts. And we can argue over all of the facts. But one thing very few want to address is, if the earth is indeed still warming, we can’t stop it by hedging fossil fuel extraction and use. You are being fooled. Cap and trade creates a derivative floor to continue the Enron scheme to create things to trade that don’t exist. Just like the mortgage bubble.
I used to like Al Gore. Seriously. Stop laughing. I did. He got screwed in 2000. But, the shit he is pulling now is beyond dubious. It is a fucking huge money making machine.
This is funny:
And back to Monckton. Discredited, or rebuked, or just plain a nutball. You decide:
UPDATE: And then, if you are up to it: Global Dimming. You see, the earth is cooling as well. It is warming because of fossil fuels, and it is cooling because of fossil fuels. Wha? Who knew?! Someone, quick, email Albert Gore:

The Republicants are on a witch hunt. They want to rid their party of anyone they consider moderate. Moderate, of course, being a sliding scale thing that is defined as differently by Newt Gingrich as it is by Joe Wilson. The witch hunt started with Scozzafava in NY-23, and on the drunken success of the ousting, they are now eating toward Charlie Crist, even if it didn’t work.
Is that the end? Of course not. Now, Limbaugh and Hannity and Savage and Beck and the lot are directing their minions to execute the public service of anyone that does not strickly adhere to what they say is conservativsim. Kind of like a party Fatah.
But the problem with this, similar to the KKK hatreds, is that you eventually have to draw the line somewhere or you end up with all white, blond, 6 foot, 165 pound men that want to kill the guy with the brown eyebrows. Heretic!
Look, I don’t like current conservative thought. They can not drown the government in the bathtub as they all seem to think will solve it all. Norquist is a god to them. I think they are wrong. Dead wrong. Do I like the liberals in congress? Of course not. But really! The democrats, besides maybe Grayson, Franken, Feingold and a handful of others, are a pansy-assed weak-kneed off-message bouillabasse of disfunction. One thing you can say for Virginia Foxx and about 30 of the 41 Republican Senators… they stay on message.
It is quite enjoyable to me to see them eat their own. If a Republican governor approves of affirmative action: Kill him! If a Republican congressman is pro-choice: Lance her! If a Republican Senator votes with the 59 Democrats on ANYTHING: Toss her to the wolves. Amazingly short sighted, but then again, what if it works?
The only thing scarier than a fuckstick like David Vitter is if this purging of the dirty GOPs actually leads to them being in charge of everything again. Dear God, how far do you have to be in the loony hole to listen to these wipers of other people’s hinder parts? No answers, just gripes. Really? Glenn Beck is threatening to Sean Hannity? Really?
If it was really only 20% of the country that is getting the pantaloons in a binder, and the current RNCC is courting them hoping they can make it 51% soon, well, maybe that is a tact. But what if a vast array of people are really so ungodly mortifyingly bereft of any cogent thought that they really believe that Obama is purposely ruining America for his own evil means and for the dastardly city of Chicago? I shutter to think of what even Cheney and Bush would think if the current vocal crop were calling all the shots.
The right goes further right. But the left, unless you are with Democracy Now! or something, is pretty much middle liberal and cares a little bit about those that make less than them. But picture a world where Michele Bachmann is the secretary of the Interior or something. And the aforementioned Foxx is in the henhouse banning abortions even if the woman would die without it.
The right have a huge problem. The internet for one. But they know, as Orin Hatch said, that if they let Obama have what he wants, he might succeed, and it would take the curtain away from the Wizard, and all of Oz will be shown for what it is. Shills for big corporations. The gig would be up, Socialism or not.
UPDATE: Christie wins in NJ and McDonnell wins in VA.
Christie is so close to Tony Soprano his ass stings.
McDonnell:
=At age 34, two years before his first election and two decades before he would run for governor of Virginia, Robert F. McDonnell submitted a master’s thesis to the evangelical school he was attending in Virginia Beach in which he described working women and feminists as “detrimental” to the family. He said government policy should favor married couples over “cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators.” He described as “illogical” a 1972 Supreme Court decision legalizing the use of contraception by unmarried couples.=
And: “[W]hen the exercise of liberty takes the shape of pornography, drug abuse, or homosexuality, the government must restrain, punish, and deter.”
Nuff said. And VA voted for this prick. Is scares you to death.
Whatever you think about Obama’s social goals, these crack monkeys might just be the 2010 emphasis for the tea baggers in the halls of congress to actually foment the change to a system of such discord the likes this country has not seen since the 18th century.
Say what you want about free market versus regulation of industry and corporations, these squirrel nuts might just make their states zipper up any dissent, reform, or necessary regulation in the US - allowing them to be a fascist state akin to Italy in 1938. Just saying. These crap mongers have convinced people in two pivotal Eastern states that they should lead.
And now, Orrin Hatch in a candid moment on the future of the GOP should health care pass (telling):

By 2042, the non-Hispanic white population of the United States will be officially less than 50%. This is a fact. This is a foregone conclusion. You can decide if this is good or bad, depending on your politics or personal opinion proclivities.
But one thing for sure - Pat Buchanan and Lou Dobbs (who will be long dead by then… well, Lou will) had better start embracing very robust affirmative action laws, and put them into at least a 50 year sunset. All of their caterwauling about immigrants, illegal and legal, will do nothing to stop the sea change.
But the very policies that they embrace and advocate, by 2042, will be the policies they would not want to be subject to as 49% of the population. Oh, how things will be changed as a white minority crys for hand outs, equal representation, and “fair” treatment. Alas, those that have been subjugated, mistreated, slandered, and used for political fodder, will exact some serious vengeance.
The right wing nutto’s like Michele Bachmann had better look long term, and plan for the inevitable and how you will be judged on how you acted from 2010 to 2040. But, that’s right. All they really care about is quarterly profits for stockholders of companies that fill their coffers to get re-elected. So it goes, as Vonnegut would say.
To be so blind as to continue to treat immigrants and minorities as stupid, poor and criminal is to deserve that will happen when you become “one of them.” Befriend a Mexican now, and have a very good African American pal, cause in 30 years, you will need all the chums you can get that are not as white as James Inhofe. Or Tom Tancredo. Yea. Let’s line him up first.
Thirty years is not a long time… http://northcalcofcc.wordpress.com/2008/08/23/whites-in-the-minority-by-2042-us-census-predicts/.
And, here is Tancredo at his best. Enjoy:

OK. Let me get this straight.
Sarah Palin is a cynical political ploy to get John McCain elected. Given. Joe Biden is a cynical political ploy to get Barack Obama elected. Given.
I don’t know where to start. But I know where it should finish. Keep that prostitute out of Washington.
Prostitute? Yes. Palin is a tool to the neocon agenda. She has sold herself to be used by others. Consciously. Pretend to be a maverick and radical republican by reducing corruption and lobbyists only to implement your own corruption and lobby ties with less transparency. Her budget deficit in Wasilla and her cronyism, combined with her kooky right social stances, make her just another nutball dumbass sycophant like Lynn Westmoreland. Fuck that “her speech was good but…” crap. It was not. Most everyone wants to pork her, and as any straight guy or lesbian that likes a librarian-type will attest, you let a little bit slide when you want the pussy. Seriously. Yes, she is inexperienced. No, she should not be a heartbeat away. It is absolutely the most irresponsible political appointment in history. Eagleton maybe have been shocked, but not as bad as the American people will be when Johnny has a clot.
Here is the deal. McCain is Verb, Noun, POW - as we all know. He needed social conservative cred. He has it now. But with whom? Chicks? Lacrosse moms? Media lapcats? Give me a break. They will do everything they can in the next two months to avoid issues. You won’t hear a peep. And it is the media that we own, and give the right to exist, that should shine the light on this wipery of bottoms. Put eyeliner on bovine, and they are still bovine.
The thing that will get the two of them elected is the stupid, pliant, American asswraps that call themselves the electorate. They will vote on emotion and looks and image and everything but the very issues that their tax dollars (besides the debt and the Fed % on printing fiat capital) should be supporting. Health, education, infrastructure, proper representation, and the future solvency of our institutions. Good government.
The war on government has to stop. Norquist is a fucking pansy that needs to go away somewhere in an anti-think tank and have his larynx poked by the tires of an Ice Truck (Google Norquist and Abramoff and see what these crap donkeys did as young college republicans). You will not end government. It exists for a reason. The reason we created it. To serve the people. The attack on intelligence needs to stop now. These dickpokes continue to derive votes from dumbsticks by telling them that smart people are bad. STOP IT! Stop these fucks. Now!By calling anyone that doesn’t work in a Wal-Mart elitist is so incredibly ridiculously callow and shallow and effective, the left needs to hammer at that like they are putting up hurricane window protection. When Romney calls Obama and the Liberals “Northeasterners” as a pejorative, people need to yell at it. When Giuliani snickers at Obama’s record by sniveling at “community organizer(s),” the media need to cry foul and incessantly hold them to it, and force this Nosferatu-But-Creepier to account.
This has to stop or we will soon be like the characters in the little seen Mike Judge film, Idiocracy, that has surfer-cocks running Washington where actual facts and intelligence are treated like a disease. Stick to the talking points of Steve Doocey and the Fox Dumps and you will be set for the future.
Here is what a conniption-creating stroke-causing blood-stoppage to the brain of McCain will do to this country:
1) Sarah Palin will make her, and your, raped daughter keep a bastard alive but won’t support a system to actually care for the thing they forced to live.
2) Sarah Palin believes that you can pray your way into wanting to put your hard penis in a woman’s vagina if you don’t particularly at present find it appealing.
3) Ralph Reed is praying that on January 21, 2009 some one puts polonium 210 in the maverick’s teacup. (Side story. In 2000 I was staying at the Hay Adams hotel next to the White House where many “dignitaries” hole-up, and got in a dormant town car in the driveway. The driver told me that the guy he just dropped off scared the shit out of him. I asked who it was and why. He said a guy named Ralph Reed with some Christian group. And that Ralph told the driver “I am going to live in that house one day” pointing at the White House across the lawn.) Be afraid. Be very afraid.
The “base” has even gone so far as to advocate Noun, Verb, “My Friends”s demise in some postings on the internets. Ask one of them, point blank, if they would rather have Palin as president. (”Antiabortion militant and all-round theocratic activist Jay Rogers of Florida, whose blog is called The Forerunner, writes: Pray for John McCain’s salvation and speedy death.”)
The war on people that actually read, study and know things - must stop, and the “elites” must force it back hard, and now. Use the shotgun. Stop the distraction. McCain will take this thing, and we are all doomed unless we shine a fucking kleig on what these biters of knobs are doing to this country we love. Freedom is not what it used to be, and students today are being raised in an era where the rights we had just 7 years ago are not even understood.
There are college students that were 10 years old when George Bush was selected. They don’t know the value of Habeas Corpus or the Posse Comitatus Act. But they should. The late, great Kurt Vonnegut said we need to teach civics in school again. Or, maybe just the constitution and how to get it back.
Community Activism is the most important job on the planet. Join. Act. And pray your child isn’t pregnant or gay in 2009-2012. Have a great October! And do something!

In a previous post, I described how John McCain would be the next president of the United States. This was on March 16th of this year. I said: “By October, some of you will have left the wagon because you think that he might have known a guy that once worked with a dude that emailed some chick once that said she saw Obama put a stamp on a letter upside down.”
I do believe that there will be a huge campaign by the compliant media to sway independent voters (who by many accounts make up about 40% of the voting electorate) towards the fear of Iran, the false idea that somehow McCain will keep you safe, and the all around dubious experience of Barack Obama. And, as with any election cycle, they will be quite successful.
Obama has not been fully vetted, and there are not-so-swift boaters in the weeds looking for, say, some woman that he dated before Michelle that, for a price, will describe things BHO did that would make the average white woman go “eewww.” Whatever.
But, being honest and contrite, and having had a few months to watch the freak show that is McCain’s campaign, I have to say, I doubt that there will be enough sheep in that majority of undecided to give him the nod. Here are a few points to consider:
1) McCain is in lockstep with an administration that has cried wolf one too many times. Even the most easily swayed by fear mongering have had enough. Lieberman, calling himself an independent, but willing to Zell Miller the St. Paul Convention, and send out letters to independents using his contradictory “I was the Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee” AND calling his old affiliation pejoratively the Democrat Party in lockstep with those that refuse now to say the word Barack without saying Hussain after it, will be rendered useless.
Saving a false flag dirty one in Tel Aviv, they ain’t got a chance. And why do we all seem to give a fuck about Israel anyway. Someone please tell me. What are we afraid of?
2) McCain has on his website, get this, on the main page, as a tab, on the top with his other three most important items: Environment (that’s right, no joke, it is fucking on his first tab), Decision Center, General Election, and, wait for it… Golf Gear.
Metaphorically, that is just about as out of touch as it gets. The fucking nuts! Maybe, maybe 30-35% of the voters want a John McCain Tee-Holder. Maybe. After that, as you try and pay your upside-down mortgage, and keep your autistic child in school whilst his teacher has a class vote whether he should even be allowed even in the class anymore, and your boss has told you that you got two months to find a new job as it is being outsourced to India (oh, and your 401k is gone, packaged with sub-prime bonds and sold to Singapore… sorry), I don’t see many more converts to “A Leader We Can Believe In.”
3) There is no way to quantify hope or a movement. Like a viral YouTube video, you can’t describe it by the usual punditocracy buzzwords or previous metrics. There are no rules to follow. And polls about this are really questionable.
There hasn’t been an exciting time like this in politics since RFK. People to want to be involved in the process, volunteering, and voting - this scares the dying bejesus out of these old, white, pasty, monied, privileged, bought-and-paid-for sell-outs to the corporatocracy. Motor-voter denials, caging, denying military (blacks and Hispanics) absentee ballots, outdated and far too few voting machines in urban areas and college campuses - Screw that. We are going to vote in such numbers that the Rovian techniques will not turn anything but a county here and there.
The emotion is just too large to fix. They botched it up too bad over in neo-con land. But more than that, they just didn’t see it coming. They really thought that the church swipes, the association with a 60’s radical, and the stuff coming still, would put in the armor chinks. He is becoming teflon, if he wasn’t already, before he hits office.
The bigger fear these soon to be dead old really racist, sexist conservatives should be having (A brief history overview - long term, they have always lost. Civil rights, woman’s rights, worker’s rights, and soon - gay rights. It takes a really long time, but they just can’t stop progress, fear and ignorance - the kind Pat Robertson foments - forever), is that as they start walking more slowly, whining more from their gated Naples, Florida country clubs about the fear of the future of our country, and telling increasingly lame jokes about black guys and uppity strong women, they are not watching that the house could pick up 50 seats this November, and the senate possibly 7.
That is a super majority, and overrides vetoes. So, even if McCain were to miraculously pull this off, he is a lame duck from day one. And, progressives, just image what can be reversed from this horrid excuse of leadership with the executive and the legislative firmly devoted in most part to change. And the ability to drop a few libs in the Supreme Court might be nice as well. I would like to see Scalia and Thomas try and attempt some end around and push for a “unitary judiciary.”
Brief story: My parents were lifelong conservatives. My father spent over 30 years in the Air Force. He believed that liberals were ruining America, and that every conservative from Ronald Reagan to Poindexter were absolutely correct and nobel. He never believed that he might be being used by the free marketers to really just advance the corporate agenda of the political puppet masters. To him that was all just “Michael Moore and his friends” coming up with hooey.
He would play Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to be an American” whenever I was at the house, and actually turn it up a notch, before he went out on the porch to have another Marlboro red - even after lung cancer, brain cancer, thrombosis of the legs, throat cancer twice, emphysema, and hospital pneumonia. I asked my mother why he would put that on and leave the room, and she said “He just wants you to love America.” I shit you not.
He would fall down, and hit his head, and forget he fell down. He would forget where he is, what day or year it is, he would shit himself and piss the bed. But, he still had the strength to write a check for $35 to John McCain for President.
My long suffering mother told me last week that she tore the check up in front of him. I was surprised. He said “Why are you doing that, I am voting for him.” God bless her, she responded, “Well, maybe I’m not!” and “I need that $35 more than McCain does with his wife’s 100 million dollars. What is wrong with you?”
Wow. Amazing. I could not believe it. She then said that she was worried about the future of America and that we are through, as she saw it. “We are about done as a country, there is no hope left.” I said, “Because of the corporate controlled politicians, the military industrial complex running foreign policy, and too much money in the political process making a clean elected official with no quid pro quo or bribery favors almost extinct?”
“No,” she said, “if that Obama guy wins he will only take care of his own.”
I will pause to let that sink in.
My father’s first barely audible comment once committed to the hospital after his last fall was “cig…ettes.” Wow. Now THAT is an addiction. Kind of like, I don’t know, attacking countries that have no threat to us, but have what we need more than cigarettes. Oil.
Coming soon - Part 2
A teaser…
To assure that Obama is safe and sound, I have one suggestion for vice-president that is foolproof. Pick Ron Paul. The federal reserve will send extra guards to Barack’s side just to keep that guy out of the oval. Seriously.

Whore (n): A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.
Fucking (adj, adv): Damned. (Pronounciation: fuhk-ing, -in)
Big (adj): Large as in size, height, weight or amount. Of major concern, importance or gravity. Outstanding for a specific quality.
Randi Rhodes on stage to a group of fans called presidential candidate Hillary Clinton a big fucking whore. Do you know why? Because that is what she is.
Immediately after hearing that Barrack Obama used the word “cling” in the same sentence with guns and religion, she started weaving tall tales of how she was raised with guns, and how she hugged them and kissed them at night, like all good “small towners.” Oh, and that it is elitist to do otherwise.
What a fucking whore.
Obama might be smooth, say the right things most of the time, and to his core is a politician more than, say, a Will Rogers. He will not get you the universal health care you crave. He will not end active troop participation in the Middle East. He will not stop jobs from leaving the country to whatever fourth-world mud-hole will make your Old Navy slippers.
He might even be a fucking whore.
But the point is, Hillary Clinton is a big fucking whore. McCain has an even bigger whoring section at the political store. That is just the way it is.
Oh, sure, you pander to get votes. They all do it. And certainly, they have to compromise positions and shape speeches to certain groups to appeal to them specifically. And of course, they will periodically proffer contradictory statements that can be pointed out by the other candidates.
Hillary is a raw, paper-thin whore that is so blatant, cynical, and obvious, it is not working. She even got heckled by people in her own crowd when she mentioned that Obama’s comments upset people. No, it didn’t. And just because you say it is so, does not make it so. Hillary is like those sad women you see periodically at 1:45 am at a bar who are looking desperate, drunk and available to anyone as she scrambles for a ride and a ride. McCain does too, but for some reason, it is not as pathetic when a guy does it. Or it just seems that way.
Bill could smile, bite his lower lip, and scratchy-drawl his way out of everything but a blowjob in the Oval. But Hillary ain’t Bill. She seems to have copped all she can from him without the charm.
We like our liars to at least be charming. Hillary, even when she tries to, has all of the charisma of a sack of horse drop. It is just insidious. Everyone points it out. From “the laugh” when she is uncomfortable, to the forced emotion only a DSM - IV psychopath can muster, she will cat scratch and crawl across broken glass to get at what is becoming apparent is Obama’s Kevlar. It must be a baseball match election, because she has hit a hell of a lot of foul balls, and is still standing in the box.
I know, I know. Randi was mean-spirited, it was not necessary, it was crude, it was an Air America sort of sponsored event in some way, shape or form. But what she said is true. And folks, this is politics. Plain and simple.
This just might be the one year in 50 that people will rise above all of the lame-assed swipes and opportunistic parsing of every nuance of every word, and actually listen to ideas and thoughts and meanings. Whether you like Obama or not, the victory of this cycle would be if the old ways to gain a percentage point or two by pegging someone as elitist (ergo bad for America - icky smart people look down on you and your simple ways!) or scaring the shit out of people who don’t read (if you vote for a democrat, you are inviting a Wahabi to come to America and make you think twice about usury or something… oh, and burn himself to death in your Lexus), don’t work.
And people would vote with their brains because they know what is better for America and its families - affordable health, affordable mortgages, domestic policy that doesn’t rape the last nickels from the treasury before they have to nationalize banks just to keep the whole system from going kaput.
Or, as has been the case in all elections, they all will just become even bigger fucking whoring whores.
(For Reference, Here is Randi Rhodes in a nightclub…)

First, a little history. 1929. June. Things were “roaring.” And what happened four months later? What made it happen, to be more precise?
You can hypothesize about the Federal Reserve’s role, the conspiracies of Bernard Baruch, the plungers and short sellers, and the speculation in which you only had to put 10% down to own stock. But what does it really matter?
What is happening today is worse. Much worse. And none of us know the 10% of it. 2009, exactly 80 years from the start of the Great Depression, will be a very bad year, indeed. Very bad.
Before I continue, a short aside. I don’t give a rat’s ass about the Fed, the fiat, the debt, or the wars, because there ain’t a damn thing you can do about it. Obama, Hillary, McCain. Fuck ‘em. They don’t have the answers.
I don’t support Ron Paul, and I am not going to push the SPP / Amero fear. But here is the truth:If you have an IRA or pension fund, prepare for it to be halved. If you have cash liquid, prepare for it to be inflationed to about 80 cents on the dollar. If you own property, sell it. Your Naples, Florida condo on the water won’t be worth spit in Dick Cheney’s undershorts.
There is a reason that the “vice” put almost all of his holdings in Euro-bonds a year ago. Look it up. Now.
This shit isn’t just ramblings of paranoia or the cobbled together thoughts of some guy who sees the sky falling. The banks want it to happen, and they will make it happen. And it is happening. Do you think that they really just blindly sold loans to everyone under a bridge for short term profit - not knowing that there will be massive defaults creating a wave of panic - as the foreign owners of these AAA rated crapsandwiches scramble to find value in the baskets of feces they now hold? Well, maybe.
But I don’t buy it.Very simply put: Starting with Reagan, deregulation and free-market bullshit was sold to Americans as patriotic anti-Communistic ways to escape the stranglehold the liberals had on business and government. Business should be free to make money, right? The market finds its own levels and regulates itself. Fuck that.
They get welfare, buy outs, future promises, and you get jack, Jack.Remember the Savings and Loan scandal? Well, anyone? The same shit, times 100. All of this is the largest scam on the planet, and no one seems to care. They took Spitzer down three weeks after his Washington Post article explaining this. And anyone else that stands in their way, look out.The obscure OCC office that has been around since the 19th century has now been put under the umbrella of the executive branch along with the CIA, the FBI, the NSA, the department of Education…
Its duty was to watch the banks. To charter, regulate, and supervise all national banks and the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks in the United States. Now, over the term of GWB, it has squashed states rights to oversee credit card regulation, fraud protection, and banking oversight. The Attorneys General in each state have been forced to submit and pay fealty or get ousted, the Rovian way. They Spiegelman you, and you are done.
They don’t want a true middle class. The middle class is annoying, and gets in the way. Ideally, they want a barely functional, undereducated group of ever-growing consumers that will eat, fuck, drink, shit and piss the Chinese products that the multi-national corporations profit from greatly.
As long as we don’t get all worked up like the Russians in 1905, they are sitting pretty. Keep us busy, distracted and entertained to death, and they will continue to rape the treasury, print money, and manipulate interest rates to keep you just on the brink, but not over the edge to rebellion. That is the game. And who is they? Who cares. It is what they are doing.
They are so brazen, the “vice” actually said, when asked what he thinks about the majority of American’s that oppose the war in Iraq, “So?” So, indeed.
Be prepared for a 2009 with large homeless populations in major cities, crime rates to go up from people just desperate to eat, and more and more walling off of our ability to protest, complain or do anything about it. Posse Comitatus gone? Excellent. Mexican and Eastern Europeans being conscripted to our forces in exchange for citizenship? Perfect. No Habeas Corpus? Damn, we’re good!
Comparisons of Bush to Hoover are insulting to the heirs of Hoover. Idiot free marketer that he was, he was also disputably the most intelligent of the presidential lot to date. Their only similarity is “BushVilles” and “GeorgeTowns” that will be dotting the landscape. Have a good 2008, and buy gold or something as the hosts on Air America implore you to do now that it is about $1000. Here it comes.

Look, you can parse words, vet dialogue, obsess with the minutiae, micro manage commercials and messages, put on the bacon and fry it up in a pan… but the truth is, John McCain will be the next president of the United States (if the situation as it currently stands domestically and internationally is the same in early November.)
Hillary Clinton does not have an iceball’s chance in David Vitter’s colon of being the president in 2009. She will not be standing on that cold late January morning with her hand on the bible.
Obama will be torn asunder by the media as the tools at MSNBC, CBS, NBC and ABC, and of course CNN, will take the FOX line and tread water with them as the most rediculous items are floated out there to give you a “shadow of a doubt.” By October, some of you will have left the wagon because you think that he might have known a guy that once worked with a dude that emailed some chick once that said she saw Obama put a stamp on a letter upside down. Well, there you go.
Obamaniacs: Stop grinning and gloating, it ain’t over yet.
Hillaryites: Stop making up defenses, and pretending that she has more experience.
The truth is, America is way behind the world in many things. One, cell phone technology and wireless transmissions. Two, accepting that naked people are actually OK to look at, instead of to recoil from and make laws to stop others from looking, because you feel ashamed. Three, math. Four, women as leaders. Five, black guys as leaders. We are way behind. Hell, a guy named Fujimori was the leader of Chile. Fujimori!
Obama is a Muslim. Hillary is a dyke. Listen to Fox. They know. A Muslim head of state will invite in the taliban to eat your children after they waterboard them back behind your above ground pool. A lesbian would try and force 2 year old girls into kissing vaginas in Oklahoma. Really. I know this. I see it on the TV.
The mere fact that George W. Bush was re-elected tells me I am right. This is John McCain’s last stand. He is surrounded by the Apaches and Geronimo has the angle. If he doesn’t strike now, he will be destroyed. Or, he can hold the fort until Jeb gets shit together next year and wheels out James Baker III again. Hell, Jim has nothing else to do. The Carlyle Group went bankrupt this week. Holy fucking shit. I will say it again, the Carlyle Group went bankrupt!
You don’t think the feces is already off the blades and against three of the four walls? Spitzer was going to out the 200 billion (Billion!) Bernanke bail of banks from your fed-printed fiat “tax dollars.” While they get to keep your house and land. No bail out for you, dark-skinned ones, just cause you are too stupid to know that a 4% loan turns into a 9% loan in two years, even though your lender “promised” you it would not. There is a word worse than predatory. I am sure you can think of it. Assholism, for one, comes to mind. Dickheaddery, another.
Carlyle filed. And will get bailed. You, live in your Hyundai. Tough shit, sucker. And McCain has admitted he doesn’t know jack about economics. So, welcome, come on in. Neither does anyone else in the NeoConJobist elite, unless you believe in the proven wrong Chicago Boys Milty Friedman school of “free” marketism. Yea, that has worked out well for Haiti, Chile, the continent of Africa…
John McCain will win for one and only one reason. He foments the same fear that GWB’s boys do. The non-existent Al-Quaedaia wants to come over here and cook Tyler and Allison into kabobs. And it works. Make the tax cuts permanent and toss another $300 to each American, and they will suck it up like manna. The kind from heaven, not the place where the islamofascists go. Icky!
It is unconscionable that right now as you read this, nationally, John McCain is about even within the acceptable area of dispute with polls, with both Billary (always cracks me up) and Irack Hussain Osama. As P.J. O’Rourke said once, back in the 80’s when he was funny: “What the fuck? What the fucking fuck?”
John McCain will be the next president of the United States, even if he has to hire some Mossad guys to dress up again like arabs and cruise the Gulf of Oman babbling about boom boom. Or, say that he is afraid that if we don’t vote for him, he thinks that the bogieman will do a bad thing that will make you cry, and you won’t like that. But, he has already played that card.
Welcome to the False Flag. It is only beginning.
- Todd Grove
UPDATE: REALLY LATE - I was wrong. Initially, I was glad. But, not so sure 12/17/09. I don’t wish he had won, given the real bribery on the left and right, but, this is a debacle. Obama is not left wing socialist. He is a Wall Street hooker.
